As a Beginning, How Do I Join Instagram?

Step 1: Create an Instagram Account (see: further below for step-by-step details): If you don’t already have an Instagram account, you’ll need to create one. To do this, you’ll need to download the Instagram app on your phone or tablet, or go to the Instagram website. Once you’re there, click “Sign Up” and fill out the required information. 

Step 2: Find People to Follow: Instagram is all about connecting with people. To get started, you can search for people you know and follow them. You can also explore hashtags and topics to find people and accounts with shared interests.

How to Create a Business Instagram Account 

Step 1: To set up a business account, go to your profile and tap the Menu button in the upper right corner. 

Step 2: Tap Settings. For some accounts, the ‘Switch to professional account’ option will be listed directly under Settings. 

Step 3: Tap Account and then tap ‘Switch to professional account’. 

Step 4: Tap Continue and select a Category for your business, then tap Done. 

Step 5: Tap OK to confirm the switch to your business account. 

Step 6: Tap Business and then tap Next. 

Step 7: Add contact details and tap Next. If you don’t want to add contact details, you can tap ‘Don’t use my contact info’. 

Step 8: (Optional) If you’d like, you can connect your business account to a Facebook Page associated with your business. This will make it easier to use all of the features available for businesses across Meta. Note: only one Facebook Page can be connected to your business account. 

Step 9: Tap the X button on the top right corner to return to your profile. 

Step 10: To display or hide business information on your profile, go to your profile and tap Edit profile. Go to Profile display under Public business information to choose whether you want to hide or display your category label and contact info, then tap Done.
