This weekend, we honor our moms and moms-to-be. Last year, we talked about our favorite “momvertising” moments. This year, the moms of M2 have put together our best tidbits of advice and links to our favorite “mommy must have” products.

Could they BE any cuter?

Advice: Relax. Parenting is a learning experience for everyone. Everything is a stage, which means that the hard parts of mommyhood pass, but so do the good parts. Enjoy everything, one day you will miss the midnight cuddles. Also, a maid makes for an excellent afternoon houseguest.

Mommy Must-Have: These blankets. They have so many different uses.

Advice: Sleep when the baby sleeps. The laundry/dishes/house can wait. Also – don’t be afraid to ask for help! The first few weeks of mommyhood are beyond overwhelming. There are so many emotions, it’s hard to keep your head straight. Even if it’s as simple as asking your partner for a blanket or to hold the baby while you make a fresh cup of coffee, parenting is not meant to be done alone. The saying, “it takes a village” becomes absolute TRUTH and that’s ok!

Mommy Must-Have: We (still) love these.

Advice: Never buy baby pajamas with buttons or snaps. Zippers are your best friend when changing a diaper in the middle of the night. Also – sign up for Amazon Family or Amazon Prime. Get your diapers and other regular baby buys delivered monthly through subscribe & save. It’s a game changer.

Mommy Must-Have: I LOVE baby carriers. With my colicky & clingy babies, wearing them was the only way to get things done! Also makes airline travel easier – you don’t have to take them out when walking through security.

Advice: Try not to worry about whether every toy or activity is developmentally appropriate and just have FUN with your baby! Also, starting a consistent bedtime routine helped our son become a great sleeper. We do book, bath time, and nighttime bottle at the same time every night. Do what works for you – just make it consistent.

Mommy Must-Haves: Sleepsack, Nose Frida, Mesh food teether

Advice: Cherish every single second. Write down every funny thing they say. Keep every piece of artwork. The years fly by. Don’t sweat the small stuff, even when it seems like big stuff. When your kids are grown, on their own, and parents themselves, that’s when the rewards really set in.

Mommy Must-Haves: It never hurts to have a good bottle of wine close by.

Happy Mother’s Day Everyone! Raise your wine glasses & dance along!
