If there’s one thing we know, it’s how to make connections. Most days this means cutting through the clutter of a crowded marketplace and closing the gap between brands and consumers. But every now and again, our connection-creating skills involve nursery rhyme-themed games, “awwww”-inspiring gifts and cupcakes decorated like friendly little foxes.

Our latest challenge? You guessed it. Throwing a baby shower for one of our very own. Typically, this wouldn’t require more than a quick Pinterest search and a trip to the party store. But “typical” isn’t really our style. We pride ourselves on standing out from the crowd – and never turning down a challenge.

This particular party-planning mission proved to be more than child’s play, though, considering the mommy-to-be works remotely and wouldn’t be in the office (or the state) to celebrate with the rest of the M2 ladies. A decade ago, solving this problem would’ve be more painful than teething. But today’s technology makes the connection process smoother than a baby’s … you know.

A laptop webcam and a large TV monitor enabled a Google Hangout session that made it seem like Catherine was in the room with us, adorable baby bump and all! Meanwhile, she sat comfortably on her couch at home, participating in games and opening gifts hundreds of miles away from our office. Problem solved. (And lots of cupcakes devoured.)

When we’re not virtually celebrating our co-workers’ new arrivals, we put these same skills – and same technology – to work for our clients. Whether we’re interviewing potential new hires or keeping up with out-of-state clients, technology makes staying in touch easier than ever before.

If you’d like to learn more about M2’s tech-forward, client-focused approach, we’d love to meet with you! Get in touch today. And act quickly … there are still two cupcakes left in the kitchen.
