College football season has kicked off, and if you’re from around these parts, you could probably sing a fight song before the ABCs. Each Saturday is full of promise and excitement for M2’s football fans, whether we’re tailgating outside a stadium or yelling strategy from our living rooms – sometimes loud enough to be heard on the field, even if it’s across the country.
Here at Motivated Marketing, we’re team players through and through. We probably won’t be found in a huddle and we don’t have an official chant or mascot (yet), but when it comes to team spirit, we’ve got it in spades. No matter how tight the deadline or how challenging the project, we won’t settle for anything but a W. And we’ve got a winning record to prove it.
These football coaches had a thing or two to say about leaving it all on the field. And it just so happens that you don’t need to be wearing pads and a jersey to feel inspired by them.
“If you want to win, do the ordinary things better than anyone else does them, day in and day out.” –Chuck Noll, Pittsburgh Steelers
“Excuses are the tools of the incompetent.” –Mike Tomlin, Pittsburgh Steelers
“The greatest mistake is to continue to practice a mistake.” –Bobby Bowden, Florida State Seminoles
“Nobody who ever gave his best regretted it.” –George S. Halas, Chicago Bears
“If what you did yesterday seems big, you haven’t done anything today.” –Lou Holtz, Notre Dame Fighting Irish
“A champion is simply someone who did not give up when they wanted to.” –Tom Landry, Dallas Cowboys
Makes you want to squeeze into some spandex pants and get on the gridiron, right? Okay, maybe not quite. But these words of wisdom are ones we live by every day – even if we can’t agree on a college football team to root for. We skip the excuses and get straight to results, the really impressive kind that only come from hard work and determination.
Keep your eyes on the end zone, because when you score this big for your clients, a touchdown dance is practically required.
Cue the sprinkler.
