The GM Parts iMR Program has seen some changes recently, including one that has many dealers applauding. Direct mail can now be submitted to co-op for 100% reimbursement, with no documentation needed for dealers using one of the approved Turnkey vendors. In addition, any eligible digital advertising claims noted in the Parts iMR Guidelines are now also reimbursable through the Traditional Advertising & Promotion Fund. Please reference page 35 of the iMR Guidelines for more details on these updated policies.
Google’s flagship advertising platform is about to experience a major rebranding. Google AdWords, after 18 years in existence, will soon be renamed “Google Ads”. The reason behind the change? Google wants advertisers to think beyond the keyword, and the new name better reflects all of the advertising opportunities now available. For instance, there is a wealth of ways to reach shoppers with Google Ads, such as running a YouTube video campaign that targets viewers who are actively shopping for a new vehicle.
