Derek Wacaster recently joined Motivated Marketing as Creative Director. He brings with him an extensive background in both creative leadership as well as marketing strategy. Most recently, Wacaster was Creative Director and Global Brand Manager for Acxiom Corporation, a consumer marketing and data company based in Little Rock, Arkansas. Prior to that he held the positions of Broadcast Producer, Copywriter and Creative Director for several advertising agencies where he worked on such recognized brands as TCBY, ABF Trucking, Jack Henry, Comcast and Dillard Department Stores, to name a few.

Wacaster shared his point of view. “I was lucky to find the perfect position in one of the most beautiful places in the country,” he said. “From day one, I fell in love with this team, and could see myself here doing great things together with them. I knew this is where I needed to be. It’s a natural fit.” When he isn’t creating award-winning campaigns or developing compelling strategic visions for clients, Derek can be found on one of the Charleston-area beaches, recharging his creative batteries.
