This month’s WBP sets the bar high, inspiring our team to think even bigger and work even harder in 2019. We’re pumped about the incredible year we’ve got ahead of us – almost as pumped as we are to announce our World’s Best Person, Ben Gilbert!
Ben runs the Web Department like a boss, creating websites that function seamlessly AND look stunning. We have no idea how he does it, but our clients sure are glad that he does! It’s possible there’s some sort of magic at work here, but we’re not starting any rumors. Mostly because Ben is just an all-around cool dude … and if you haven’t met him, here’s your chance!
Q: Choose a movie title for the story of your life.
A: “And What Did We Learn from That Experience?”
Q: Are you sunrise, twilight or night? Please explain.
A: Sunrise. There’s nothing better than having a cup of coffee in the silence of the morning as you start to get the day’s tasks in order in your mind. I love listening to some classical music on the back porch before the hustle and bustle of the day starts.
Q: What story does your family always tell about you?
A: When I was 7 or so, we visited the Smithsonian in DC. There was a moon rock on display, not in a case or anything – but with plenty of signs around it saying, “Don’t touch.” Of course, I went right up to it and touched it, setting off alarms and causing security to rush in and see what clown just couldn’t contain themselves. Funnily enough, I think you can actually touch it with no problem now … but in the 80s, it was FORBIDDEN.
Q: How do you feel about putting pineapple on pizza?
A: I feel GREAT about it. The best pizza at Andolini’s is their “Almost Hawaiian.” Probably my second favorite after the BBQ chicken pizza at Fox’s Pizza Den in Pittsburgh.
Q: What is the hardest lesson you have learned?
A: It’s one I learned early in life, and it has both a literal and metaphorical application. Here it is: Measure twice, cut once.
Congrats, Ben! Enjoy your reign as World’s Best Person!
